Newinn Session booked his place in this week’s Star Sports & TRC Greyhound Derby Final with a professional performance at Towcester when landing his Semi Final contest.

Despite not having won since the opening round, and instead having to show his grit and determination to keep qualifying, he produced a top quality run to claim the victory. It was Kilara Lion who trapped best to lead in the early yards but Newinn Session was to soon take over as he showed good early pace to hit the front before the turn and soon take full control of the contest. Kilara Lion was his nearest rival throughout but Newinn Session held on for a comfortable two length victory in 29.33.
