Jackslittlething claimed the prestigious Rural Hawaii @ Stud Unraced Stake at Clonmel with a powerful front running performance, landing the honor for the second year running for the team.

Heading into the Final the team were delighted to have three runners lining up, Fabulous Azurra had been a model of consistency in recent weeks winning 3 of her 4 races, Bombay Joe had won once but showed his determination and will by continuing to qualify whilst eventual winner, Jackslittlething had also won three of his four starts.

With a top class field of youngsters, all of whom will challenge for top honours in the coming year, the break would prove to crucial as you’d expect. It was Bombay Joe, Jacklittlething and Storys Direct who all broke smartly but heading into the opening turn Jackslittlething forged to the front up the inside of Storys. Hitting the corner together, the inside line which Jackslittlething controlled was key, as he gave Storys Direct a nudge and took up the running into the back. With the field behind coming together it was a two dog affair. Cruising along out in front, the powerful runner continued to extend his advantage, before coming home some five lengths in front in a very fast 28.52. A wonderful victory that will have been enjoyed massively by owners The Pillar Syndicate.

Fabulous Azurra and Bombay Joe finished fourth and sixth respectively but both youngsters have shown they are full of potential heading into 2021!
