Plenty of runners to keep us busy this weekend with the kennel visiting Wimbledon, England, as well as turning out teams at Shelbourne and Cork this evening!

First up we have 2 down at Cork. Coran Sky is looking to follow up last week’s battling victory in the Irish Independent Laurels Semi Final. A top three finish will be good enough to see him progress but as always we’re their to win and he’ll be going there in good form. Gaytime Hawk joins him on the van for Cork and will contest the William Hill English Derby Trial Stake. The winner receives a nice pay cheque as well as free entry to the English Derby. Clares Wonder has already won the Shelbourne equivalent so we’ll be hoping for a double!

At Shelbourne we have a strong handed team of 10 runners. Voodoo West starts us off in an A2 before litter brother, Olivias Hope goes in an A1. Neither have preferred draws and may struggle to get a clear passage if not firing from traps. Another good A1 race sees Riverside Gold line up. He’s in fine form having won his last two outings over the sprint trip but the trap draw has not been kind and he finds himself out in 5.

The feature of the Shelbourne card is the second round of the Healthcare & Transport Services Puppy Oaks. Skywalker Pearl did everything perfectly last week and will be aiming to repeat this in the opening Heat. The second heat will see two of ours line up, Tolpuddle Mist and Rural Maui face off again in a competitive race. Ballydoyle Honey lines up in the fourth and final heat. A better trap draw for her tonight sees her claim a spot on the rails. No doubt if coming away she’ll be a big player. A top 3 finish for our girls will see them move onto the semi final stages.

Amazing Dude then lines up in the Gain Feeds Open 525, a repeat of his last Trap 1 draw will see him go very close. The Dublin Coach Open 550 is a top class affair where we have  Calzaghe Clampett, he’s more than capable of taking control of the race early on and confirming his potential. The Shelbourne Team is completed by Hovex Prince, on the back of a scintillating run last week he lines up in the Dandelion Bar & Nightclub 550. He’ll need to start quickly so the Trap 4 draw isn’t a hindrance to him.

Sidarian Blaze will be one of our team at Wimbledon and is looking to follow up his recent win around the Plough Lane circuit. Riverside Pat, will be looking to secure a clear passage on this visit to show what he is capable of before Millbank Stevie will also look to get round safely on his return after his bumpy ride last visit. Another making the journey over is Clares Wonder who will be having his first look round the circuit in a trial before racing.
