Following a wonderful weekend which saw us claim the The Dandelion Bar & Nightclub Easter Cup Final with Sidarian Blaze (Video here) we had a relatively quiet racing week.
Olivias Hope finally recorded victory at the 9th time of asking when recording 28.81 and winning by four and half lengths at Shelbourne on Thursday evening. He’s taken his time to show the ability, in racing scenario, we knew he possesses and hopefully this will be a good confidence boost to build upon and progress.
The weekend sees us busy as ever. We’re at Limerick with Rural Hawaii in the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stake Semi-Final. Qualifying is the aim so a top three finish is what is required tomorrow. He’s in fine form and is unbeaten to date so if reproducing previous rounds showing’s he should go close to progressing.
We were due to be at Cork we had Leeview Lady in the Pat Hennerty Sales Cork Oaks Semi-Final. Unfortunately nature has beaten us and she has come in season. She will now head to the breeding paddocks with a potential date with Ballymac Vic lined up.
Finally, at Shelbourne where we’ll be busiest of all with ten runners! Rackethall Royal is first up in the Hamilton Architects A2 525 Semi-Final. Tolpuddle Mist, impressive winner last week, is up in grade and contests the www.QUICKPARK.ie A2 525 Semi-Final. Rural Maui will be looking to get back to winning ways when lining up in the Fundraising Nights in Shelbourne Park A1 Semi-Final, before Warrior Gwen lines up in the other heat.
In the Sporting Press 550 Final, Hovex Prince and Voodoo Rebel do battle to take home the €800 plus trophy prize. Hooverville seems to be attracting the trouble during his recent outings so will be hoping for a clear passage when contesting the A1 550. Ballydoyle Honey then lines up in a very competitive Boylesports.com Open 525 full of Oaks class bitches.
Millbank Stevie returns to racing action in the Healthcare & Transport Services Open 525, his recent trial shows he has no ill effects from the nasty tumble during the Easter Cup Semi Final. Riverside Pat rounds off a busy night when lining up in the Dandelion Bar & Nightclub Open 550. Another top class affair which he’s capable of winning with a bit of luck on our side.
