The team secured an amazing THREE Boylesports Irish Derby Finals on an evening which produced some of the finest racing action to grace the track.

The opening Semi Final saw Drive On Tipp and Clona Blaze take their place looking to grab the prestigious Final places. It was a race that didn’t disappoint for the neutral fan as Magical Bale held on from Jaytee Taylor with Clona Blaze back in third spot, securing his place in the Final. You could of chucked a blanket over most of the field as Bale held on for victory by a neck with Blaze in third by a head – an fitting finish to a hugely exciting contest. The ever professional Drive On Tipp finished back in fourth spot and just missed out on a qualifying spot.

The Second Semi Final had a lot to live up to if the opener was anything to go by but it didn’t disappoint, producing another thrilling battle as Slippy Cian edged out Ballyanne Sim in a photo finish with Clonbrien Hero back in third, giving us another two qualifiers! It was another close call with Totos Park only missing out by half a length in fourth place on the evening.

The Final sees a nice make up with two railers, two middles and two wides all in the hat and which hopefully should result in a clean run race as much as possible where the winner will be victorious on merit. We’re delighted and honoured to have three runners in the Final again and have everything crossed we can emerge victorious like we did in 2016 when Rural Hawaii was crowned the Irish Derby Champion.

The full draw can be seen by clicking the image to the right, Slippy Cian has Trap 3, Clonbrien Hero Trap 4 and Clona Blaze Trap 6.

Best of luck to connections of all runners in the Final !
