The dust may have settled but the Kennels, and connections, are still on a high following the brilliant victory of Skywalker Manner in the Irish Inependant Laurels on Saturday evening.

Despite not having won a heat leading up to the Final, we knew he had the potential to run a big race, and he did not disappoint. Breaking level, his brilliant early pace took him to the bend just in front. Pacing along the far side he was in pursuit by race favorite Farloe Rumble. Setting a strong pace, Manner was in front hitting the final tuns. Holding his pitch on the fence, he ran out an eventual winner by a length and half in 28.29 to the delight of all connected!

Manner is our Third Irish Laurels winner, we previously won this Irish Classic with Sevenheads Bay and Knockglass Billy. It was very fitting then, that the final race on Saturday evening was won by Riverside Oscar – son of Knockglass Billy!
