Unfortunately Sidarian Blaze suffered a badly broken hock whilst contesting the English Derby Second Round yesterday evening at Wimbledon.
He was made comfortable by the track vet after the race and returned to the kennels with Graham. He was operated on today and we’re relieved to say he came through the operation safely. The operation itself went as well as can be expected for the injury of its nature.
He is returning to our UK base with Graham this evening and will begin his long road to recovery.
Everyone at the kennels and all connected with Blaze, are devastated by the injury but would like to take a moment to thank all that has shown concern and wished him a speedy recovery.
