The team sent out a nice hat trick of winners at Shelbourne on Saturday evening, including another Derby Trial Stake winner.

We had to wait until the 9th race to get off the mark but when we did it was in fine style as Slippy Cian ran out a very professional winner of the BoyleSports Derby Trial Stake Open 550. Leading up on the outside and into the opening turn Cian was never troubled as he glided around to a comfortable five length victory, stopping the clock in 29.46.

We didn’t have to wait long for the next winners as Totos Park landed the Premium Unraced Sales 24th of Aug A0/A1 525 by half a length in 28.54. Working hard for the victory he showed his good back straight pace which then allowed him to take up the running around the final turns. Digging deep on the run in, he held on to the victory from the rallying runners behind.

The hat trick was completed in the final race of the evening where Lenson Blinder was hugely impressive as he landed a high quality BoyleSports “Getting Out” Open 550. Showing good early pace, the litter  brother of Slippy Cian, ran a near identical race. Leading into the opening turn he was in full control of the contest as he went through the gears along the far side. Powering home he stopped the clock in superb 29.24, which is the fastest time of the year to date.
