As well as a successful night at Limerick, where the team secured spots in the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Final, quickPARK.ie Limerick Oaks Final and the Sean O Connor Cup Final, we hit a nice four timer at Shelbourne.
Slippery Thelma got the ball rolling with a strong running performance. Pacing up well she was tussling for the lead as they hit the far side. Pacing along the back well she took control of the contest entering the third bend. From her she was always going to be difficult to peg back and went on to win by a length and half in 28.95.
Macaroon Cruz produced a determined run to grab victory on the run contesting an opening round Gain Greyhound Nutriton Open 600 heat. Turning second out the opening turns he tracked the early leader before mounting a serious challenge off the final turn. Powering up the straight he crossed the line half a length in front in a decent 32.63.
Beaming Paradise brought up the hat trick as he was a good winner in the third heat of the Gain Greyhound Nutriton Open 600, in the process recording the fastest time of the heats. Having a nice draw from the red box he was soon in the ascendancy at the opening turn. Powering along never looked in trouble and crossed the line five lengths to the good in a fast 32.36.
The final race saw Fantasy Joey produce one of his best runs to date to claim the win in the BoyleSports “Getting Out” Open 525. Starting well he lead up and was soon in front at the first bend. He looked good as he cruised along the far side before coming home two and half lengths in front, recording his best time of 28.44.
