Nice Charmer and Blue East lined up in the Larry O’Rourke National Produce Stakes Final on Sunday evening, looking to reclaim the title won by Clonbrien Hero and Clares Rocket in recent years for the team.

It wasn’t to be on the evening as a messy race ensued from the trap rise. It was Nice Charmer who secured the cleanest journey during the course of the race which allowed him to grab the runner up spot behind Cash Is King, whilst Blue East, encountered baulking on the run up and at the first turns which put paid to any hopes he had on the night.

Both have ran very consistently throughout the stake and will go on to win plenty of good races in the coming months ahead for their respective connections.
