The kennel had another fruitful weekend as we secured 9, major race, finalists for next weekend, not to mention the small matter of Ballydoyle Honey being crowed IGB Bitch Of The Year 2015!

Starting at Shelbourne we hit a hat trick of winners of the evening, including taking both the Healthcare & Transport Services Puppy Oaks Semi-Finals. The night had started well with Riverside Oscar showing great determination to take the win in the opening Liam Murphy Memorial A1 525 Semi-Final. Leading out the second turn he came home a length to the good in 28.77. This was a nice warm up as Sidarian Pearl (28.36) and Ballinakil Clare (28.23) won their respective Healthcare & Transport Services Puppy Oaks Semi-Finals. Rockburst Riva followed litter sister Sidarian Pearl home in the opener whilst Slippery Louise came home behind Ballinakil Clare in the second semi, to send four of our team through to the Final next Saturday.

Later on the Shelbourne card, Hovex Blaze ran on well to qualify in second place in the opening Gain Dog Foods Open 600 Semi Final. We had two qualifiers from the second Semi as Milldean Cougar and Notorious Ben finished second and third respectively to take their spot in next week’s final.

Down at Limerick, both our representatives moved into the Limerick Oaks Final next week. Rural Maui came home second in the opening semi final before Sidarian Nell produced a brilliant display of early pace to claim the victory in the second semi final.
