We had a good hat trick of winners at Limerick on Saturday evening, all of them nice youngsters who are progressing well, and will potentially be aimed at the hugely prestigious upcoming Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stake.

Clonbrien Hero, who exited the GMHD at the Semi Final Stages last week, was ultra impressive. Leading up, he hit the first bend in front , running a superb bend he soon opened up an unassailable lead. Stretching further clear along the far side he was not for stopping and coming round the last he stayed on strong to cross the line 10 lengths in front. He recorded a FTON of 28.74.

Lughill Robbie has been running against some top quality pups in recent races but seized his opportunity in this A1 contest. Leading into the opening turn, he pulled away along the far side. Looking smooth round the final turns he won well in 28.90 by 5 lengths.

The hat trick on the night was completed by the hugely talented Rackethall Jess who was also completing her own 3-timer of victories! Breaking moderately she found a nice pitch on the rails into the first bend. Taking up the running at the second bend she asserted her power along the far side and built up a commanding lead. She was not stopping and came home to secure a comfortable 6 length win.
