Following a busy weekend last week, this week is no different with us having numerous runners all over the country in the upcoming days.
We start with five runners at Shelbourne on Thursday evening where Riverside Ciara goes in an A6 stake. Riverside Swift and House of Fun do battle in the Dandelion Bar & Niughtclub A3 Stake. Whilst Silverhill Lucy (A3) and Forgotten Town (A5) all look to run well in their respective graded races.
Saturday will again see us stretched with kennel representatives at four different tracks in the evening. Coolavanny Pandy looks to continue her run in the Cork Oaks but will need to be sharper away from the boxes than last week and avoid any bunching on the run up but without doubt she has the ability to be involved in the shake up. Garryvoe Jet recorded the second fastest time of last weeks heats when showing good track craft to lead at the 3rd bend and he’ll be looking to follow this up and run another solid race in his Gain Dog Food Irish Cesarewitch Semi-Final at Mullingar.
We’ll be at Shelbourne Park with a van full as Cabra Buck lines up in the Easter Cup Semi Finals following his battling run last week where he finished second behind Tyrur Sugar Ray. Joining him will be Sidarian Lisa in a 750 contest who, luckily, is no worse for her tumble at Mullingar last week when getting clipped and stood on at the first bend. Hawaii Kinsale continues his return to full race fitness and goes in a hot open race over 525. Sharp Bolt lines up in a tough 350 sprint contest whilst Totos Tank goes in an A1 race. Finally, Innameovhoff also lines up in a tough open 525 contest where he’ll need to be at his best to overcome a less than ideal trap draw.
The Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stake continues at Limerick where we have four runners. Vans Viking, impressive when leading early in last weeks opening round, goes up against two kennel mates when faced with Hooverville and Runaway Rover in heat 3 – which is less then ideal as you can imagine! Sidarian Blitz, 2nd in his heat last week when leading til the 4th bend will look to replicate his fast start from the boxes and get a safe passage round and hopefully qualify for the next round. Holborn Junior starts his comeback from injury when competing in the Treaty Cup over 350yrds.
Finally, a quick injury update on Sidarian Rhythm. His recouperation his progressing nicely and has today gone home to co-owner Tom O’Connor to convalesce.
