Sidarian Lisa completed an unbeaten run through the John Kennedy Motors/TSC Open 790 Stake Final  at Clonmel on Sunday evening when cruising to a brilliant 11.5 length victory in the Final. Showing good early dash she was away and gone and never looked back on her way to recording a brilliant 44.19 -20. This calculated time would actually put her one spot inside the track record, but records are not given on slow going, which stands at 44.00!

There was no joy at Limerick in the Leger Semi Finals as both General Wolf and Hawaii Kinsale failed to qualify for the big final by half a length and a length respectively. Both caused each other bother at the first turn which hampered any chances of progressing, but both ran with great credit and effort but went down in 4th and 5th place on the night.

On the same card, Millbank Stevie and Hooverville qualified for next week’s Kerry Agribusiness A0 525 Final after finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively in the their Semi Final.

Earlier in the week, at Shelbourne Park, the youngsters were on show again. However, it was a learning experience for them as they failed to score in some very competitive races. We came away with a couple of seconds and some hard luck stories but all will have learnt from their outings.

Looking ahead, Sidarian Blaze moved well in a pre-race workout at Shelbourne in preparation for a crack at the Night Of Stars when recording a good 28.30. Vans Viking also trialled and recorded 28.69.
