Sidarian Vega finished runner up in the Kerry Agribusiness Irish St Leger Final at Limerick on Saturday. Showing good early pace to lead round he pushed eventual winner, Skywalker Rory, til the 3rd bend before the winner showed strong galloping power to pull away for the victory. Congratulations to all involved with Rory!

Elsewhere on the card at Limerick we came away with a couple of wins. Jo jo Fantasy completed a Heat and Final success in the Tubbertelly Dubh @ Stud Open Stake. Leading early he was never in danger and powered home to a five length victory. Sidarian Nell had taken the Bloom Elite High Energy Open Bitch contest in fine style, breaking well, she used her brilliant early pace to full affect to take control of the race and beat a good quality field. also on the card, youngster Hovex Mo went down by the shortest of short heads in the Bloom Elite Bronze Open Unraced Final. Gaytime Hawk made his first competitive appearance since the Derby final and was slightly unfortunate not to come away with victory after bumping around the final turns held him up.

At Shelbourne, Lauren Champ was succesful in the A1 contest. Riding a bump round the opening turn he squeezed round in front and went on to win by two lengths. Going To Work made it 2 good wins on the bounce following his impressive win in the Open 525. Leading the inside he was in command at the first bend. He pulled away and went on to record a two and half length win. Calzaghe Clampett gave us the hattick at HQ as he closed the evening out, winning the the Open 575 by a length. Showing great back straight pace to lead into the 3rd turn, he railed round the last turn to cross the line in front.

Earlier in the evening, during trials, Ballydoyle Honey stopped the clock in a fast 28.16.
