We reached the Semi Final stages of the GMHD Juvenile Classic at Tralee with three representatives still looking to make the Final.

The first Semi Final saw Nice Charmer line up in a very hot affair. He can count himself very unlucky not to qualify on the night. Coming round the final turns, just as it looked like he would pass the 3rd place dog and grab the final qualifying spot, he came together with the one dog, it cost him dearly as he missed out by half a length.

The second Semi Final saw the unbeaten pair of Slippy Cian and Newinn Blake clash. It was Blake who led early, with Cian in a handy position entering the opening turn. Blake had to ride a bump round the first bend but as they straightened up along the far side it was still Blake in control, but Cian was not giving in. Hitting the final bends Cian took the lead and powered up the home straight, leading home Blake to score a great 1-2 for the kennels. Both progress to next week’s top class Final.
