Slippy Cian and Newinn Blake took there deserved places in the final of the GMHD Insurances Juvenile Classic at Tralee on Friday evening and it was Slippy Cian who nearly grabbed the honours going down by half a length to eventual winner Ballymac Bolger.

Being cut up out the boxes Cian was baulked from trap rise, riding another bump at the bend he managed to hold his position and entered the back straight in 4th spot, just behind kennel mate Blake. Both showed good back straight pace but it was Cian closing on the leader around the final turn. Giving his all he was unable to reel in the early leader and went down by half a length with Blake back in 4th place.

Another fantastic renewal of the GMHD Insurances Juvenile and we are confident these two will frank the form of this competition in the coming months.
