Slippy Cian and Blue East qualified from their respective Semi Finals and booked their spots in the prestigious Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stake Final next weekend.

Slippy Cian was made to work hard for victory in the opening Semi Final as he ran out the winner by a neck in 28.42. Challenging the early leaders along the far side he was edging nearer all the time and looked to hit the front coming round the last two bends. Da Head Hunter wouldn’t give and rallying on the run he forced Cian to battle hard to land the spoils.

In the second Semi Final, Blue East went down being the top quality Droopys Davy in a fair run contest. Pacing up well he was just edged into the bend by Davy, from here Blue East was always chasing hard. Running his race in second place he secured a qualifying spot for next week’s big Final.

The Final draw is as follows:

  1. Master Jingles
  2. Da Head Hunter
  3. Lemon Shane
  4. Slippy Cian
  5. Blue East
  6. Droopys Davy
