It was a perfect start to our Star Sports, ARC & LPS Greyhound English Derby campaign as we landed a fine double in the Trial Stakes courtesy of Clonbrien Prince and Clonbrien Swift.

The opening trial stake was comfortably won by Clonbrien Prince as he produced an all the way success in 29.61 by a length and three quarters. Leading on the run up, he moved off slightly at the opening turn but maintained his lead, moving well throughout he looked comfortable as he ran out the winner. Clonbrien Swift landed the double when he came from behind in his Trial Stake. Following the early leader round, he started to make in roads into the lead around the final turn. Finishing strongly he got his head in front on the run in, clocking a time of 29.66 and a winning distance of a length.

We also had four triallers before racing where Lenson Blinder recorded 29.82, Ballydoyle Valor 29.80 and Clona Blaze beat Nice Charmer by a length in 30.09.
