Slippy Cian landed the first major honor of his career as he produced a dominant performance to be crowned the Navillus Race Of Champions Champion at Tralee on Friday evening.

Breaking well he was soon in front approaching the opening turns, just clearing his inside runners, he slipped around in front Akelawre. Powering along the far side he extended his lead further as they approached the third bends. Galloping strongly all the way to the line he came home four and a half lengths to the good, in 29.60 for his owners, The Full House Syndicate. It was a a memorable performance from the team as Ballydoyle Valor grabbed second spot to record a superb 1-2 for the kennels.
