The team sent out a brilliant seven winners over the weekend, scattered between Shelbourne, Limerick and Cork.
Kilmessan Gold was our only winner at Cork where he came home two and half lengths in front in a decent 28.42. Leading on the run up he set the pace early and was never in danger as he ran out a comfortable winner in the end. Sidarian Fern was contesting the Two Wheel Training Cork Oaks Final but she was unable to land a blow in this top quality affair.
Over at Shelbourne we hit a brilliant 4 timer which included two winners in the opening round of the Healthcare & Transport Services Puppy Oaks. Rural Aloha set the standard for the evening as she stopped the clock in a brilliant 28.28, the fastest of all the heats. Blueberry Diva claimed her first race success here, fast into stride she stayed on well to win by three lengths in 28.62. Totos Park was a good winner of the BoyleSports Mini Open 525 Semi-Final by three lengths. Leading at the third turn he stayed on well to claim success in 28.41. The four timer was completed by the wonderful Drive On Tipp as he was an impressive winner of the BoyleSports Getting Out Open 550. Moving into a menacing position along the far side he got up the inside of the early leader at the third turn before driving on to win by two lengths in 29.55.
At Limerick we had the Second Round of the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stake and we sent out a double here. Beaming Paradise was hugely impressive when claiming Heat 4. Holding his rails pitch at the opening turns he soon took control of the race as he powered along the far side, opening up an unassailable lead. Galloping powerfully all the way to the line he had opened up a seven length gap as he came home in 28.45. Heat 7 saw Blue East, Slippy Cian and Rural Brae line up. Blue East continued his good run of form as he produced an professional display. Showing good early pace he took the lead up at the first bend. Pushed hard by the challengers up the back straight he held his position around final turns, battling hard he held on to win by a neck in 28.52 with Slippy Cian back in third spot.
